3x increase in organic traffic for a corporate event management firm
The Client
Our client, a 3yr old rapidly growing event management company in the US market, specializes in curating unforgettable experiences across various categories like corporate events, and Virtual events
The objective
After COVID-19, our client faced challenges including the shift back to offline events, which required re-establishing in-person operations. Additionally, the events industry saw extensive competition, as many companies re-entered the market, making it harder to stand out and attract clients amidst the crowded landscape. One of the main challenges is identify ways to leverage Digital Channels efficiently.
The primary objective of this campaign was to invest extensively in SEO to increase awareness, boost organic traffic , and improve keyword rankings for high-conversion event management terms. Additionally, it aimed to enhance user engagement through targeted on-page SEO and content optimization.
The Challenge
To address these challenges, we devised a multi-step SEO strategy tailored to the unique needs of the client. Here’s a breakdown of our approach:
1. Comprehensive Keyword Research
We started by conducting in-depth keyword research focused on high-intent, long-tail keywords relevant to event management. This included terms like “best corporate event planners,” “Best corporate event planner in Los Angeles two other large cities in USA,” and all other specific phrases that aligned with their services.
Actions Taken:
- Identified keywords with local relevance.
- Prioritized keywords with high search volume and moderate competition.
- Segmented keywords based on user intent: informational, navigational, and transactional.
2. On-Page SEO Optimization
Our team revamped key pages on the client website to align with search engine best practices. We ensured that each page had optimized title tags, meta descriptions, headers (H1, H2, H3), and alt texts for images.
Actions Taken:
- Optimized titles, meta descriptions, and headers for target keywords.
- Improved internal linking structure to distribute link equity.
- Enhanced image optimization with keyword-rich alt texts.
- Structured content for readability and engagement with proper keyword placement.
3. Content Creation and Blogging
Content played a crucial role in our strategy. We developed a content calendar that included regular blog posts targeting event-related queries, such as “How to plan the perfect corporate event” and “Top trends in wedding planning.” Each piece was optimized for SEO and designed to capture organic traffic from informational searches.
Actions Taken:
- Created SEO-driven blog content around event planning.
- Created more than 40 content articles over a period of 90 days.
- Utilized long-tail keywords to drive niche traffic.
- Built internal and external links within the content to strengthen SEO authority.
4. Technical SEO Improvements
We conducted a thorough audit of the site’s technical health. This included improving the site’s speed, enhancing mobile responsiveness, and addressing broken links, 404 errors, and crawl issues.
Actions Taken:
- Improved page load speed by optimizing images and code.
- Fixed all broken links and 404 errors.
- Enhanced mobile performance to ensure a seamless user experience on all devices.
